Rubber is often used for non-slip and cushioning applications that take advantage of its surface gripping power, but a sliding surface function is required while taking advantage of rubber's cushioning properties.

The NS Series -
Sliding CR rubber sheet

The NS Series is Vel-Suede's original rubber sheet with a sliding treatment; a thin rubber sheet of CR rubber (chloroprene rubber) is used as the base material to achieve high sliding performance without compromising the flexibility of rubber. It is used as a sliding parts in the lens barrel and housing of digital cameras, etc., and functions as light shielding, dustproofing, and simple waterproofing. In addition, by applying sliding treatment to the rubber packing material, it prevents the material from sticking to mating objects as it ages. There are single-sided sliding sheets and double-sided sliding sheets with treatment on both sides, which can be selected according to the customer's needs.
Normally, it is difficult to attach double-sided tape to sliding treated surfaces, but Vel-Suede's NS series can attach double-sided tape to sliding treated surfaces, expanding the range of design possibilities.
